A mineral and 3 amino acids to stop AIDS?

Dr. Harold Foster hypothesized that selenium, tryptophan, cysteine, and glutamine will stop AIDS, which is said by some researchers, can be caused by HIV. Apparently, this treatment is being used to reverse AIDS cases in Africa, and with good success. It apparently also slows down both Hepatitis C and Hepatitis B, either of which are found together with HIV. This of course, is one of several nutritional treatments that has been found to reverse AIDS.

Alzheimers and HIV are related
Researchers in Germany have discovered HIV uses amyloid fibers in semen to infect other cells, and their ability to infect cells is drastically reduced without it. Amyloid fibers are the same type of protein used to diagnose Alzheimer's Disease. Published in Cell 2007 131: 1059-1071.

Symptoms of Alzheimer's reversed "in minutes"A doctor that apparently developed Alzheimer's Disease had his neurological symptoms reversed in minutes after injections of the arthritis drug etanercept into his cerebral spinal fluid. Reflux, Ulcers, H. Pylori

H. Pylori-a stainless steel disease

There is nothing more distressing that having acid reflux after a meal. Even worse, having an ulcer due to "stress". An astute doctor will know that it is bacteria behind the majority of cases of acid reflux and Barry Marshall and Robin Warren won the Nobel Prize for their research showing ulcers are caused by H. Pylor. Something that your doctor may not tell you is what H. Pylori is found, what it feeds off of, and how you can reinfect yourself over and over again.

In my opinion, H. Pylori is a "stainless steel" disease. The reason behind this is due to the nickel found in stainless steel. So, how does one infect themselves? I think the majority of person's with reflux, ulcers or problems with H. Pylori have a nickel allergy. H. Pylori cannot survive without nickel. Here is a typical scenario of how easily someone may become infected with H. Pylori: You go to the movies, you order some nachos with cheese. You sit down and watch the movie. Later that day or the next day perhaps, you have "stomach trouble". You do nothing about it. The trouble continues. You never connect it to the meal you ate. Eventually it becomes a chronic problem. You reflux, you have distress when eating, life begins to become miserable for you when it comes to eating. You try everything to relieve the pain. Eventually you find yourself on anti-acids and anything else that will relieve the pain. You cannot drink alcohol without trouble. You are miserable with this digestive ailment. You dread eating instead of welcoming it. Sounds familiar?

Well, in the scenario described above, the chances that H. Pylori is the culprit behind the problem is quite high. The reason is this: Milk and cheese is probably where you will find most H. pylori bacteria. They eat nickel. How did they get there? They were there when the milk was collected. They multiplied when the cheese was made, especially the yellow "cheese wiz" stuff you typically dip chips in. H. Pylori cannot survive without nickel and the nickel is coming from the stainless steel combined with the dairy in it. Keep eating milk and cheese and you'll keep having problems with your stomach. But it doesn't stop there.

Another major source of nickel is canned foods and mice. Now that sounds farfetched but it is quite common. Mice are culprits for carrying H. Pylori. At one time, I was doing a research experiment and worked with rodents, so I know what they smell like. I recall having a discussion with a colleague of how so many people pick up infections from canned foods. The reason is canned foods are stored in stores and warehouses. If the place is not rodent free, and in many cases they are not, rodents will run on top of the cans, leaving traces of urine and feces that is not visible to the naked eye. A person who purchases such canned goods can easily contaminate themselves when they open the can and heat the food, but not bring it to a boil. Also, if the top of the can is contaminated, the problem becomes worse due to the nickel content of found in some (especially the tops) cans. The other reason is the food that was prepared in the can may have been prepared in stainless steel. If you cook with stainless steel at home and have problems with reflux, ulcers, or great stomach discomfort, suspect the nickel containing stainless steel. If you eat canned foods, regarless if it is eaten at home, or if it is consumed away from home, there is a high chance that it may have been prepared in stainless steel. The nickel can really add up if the food was prepared in stainless steel, then stored in a can in a manner in which the food comes in direct contact with the interior metal. Some canned foods companies have begune lining the interior of the cans with a coating to avoid metal contamination problems. Canned foods does have its benefits if it is used for short periods of times, and if you do not have access to or know how to prepare certain foods. Especially important in the case of reflux, ulcers, h. pylori, which all can cause chronic gastritis is avoiding eating foods that come in contact with metals as much as possile. Don't let food sit on the stove if it has been prepared in stainless steel. Store it in a plastic container, preferably with the recycle code number 2 (HDPE)at the bottom. The coating in the newer cans contains an estrogen-like compounds so its not a recommended way of eating for very long periods of time as it can eventually create its own set of problems.

One time I quit cooking my own vegetables in order to save time to focus on a project I was working on. I started buying canned foods. As a precaution, I always rinse off the tops of my cans before opening them. Within one week my kitchen sink had a very faint but noticeable odor that I was familiar with. "I know that scent...it was the scent of rodents." It is not a very strong scent, and unless you work with them, you may never recognize the smell. That experience confirmed what my colleague told me before, where you have canned foods stored, you will have rodents. They come from the warehouse or store in which you puchased them. The scent obviously was due to the fact that the residue on the can had made contact with water as I rinsed them off. Nothing a little bleach will not kill.

Nickel is the driving force behind H. Pylori, and H. pylori is the driving force behind many cases of reflux and ulcers. Another major source of nickel may be water. It may come from your tap, or it may even come from the water you purchased in the store. It depends on how the water was processed and stored.

So, a natural way to get rid of Reflux, Ulcers and Hy.pylori is this: Do not cook in iron and do not cook in metal that contains nickel. Do not eat cheese and do not drink milk. If you drink bottled water, and notice discomfort after drinking it, switch brands until you find one that works for you. Do not use nickel containing silverware to eat your food. Especially do not consume alcohol during times of great trouble as it always makes the symptoms worse. Lastly, keep the stress level down to a bare minimum and avoid eating foods that you are allegic to as this can caus further damage to the stomach lining.

There are natural products on the market that claim to be just as effective in eliminating H. Pylori out of the gut as antibiotics. You may want to consider utilizing these products if problems persists even after nickel elimination.

Sensitive Thyroid-Adrenals

Sensitive thyroid and adrenal glands will need some help from you. The two most immediate things you can do is control your stress and maintain an even and steady supply of glucose in your blood."

One of the things our brain learns from infancy is how to send a hunger signal to the brain. This is a survival mechanism. A baby cannot do anything but scream and cry when hungry until fed. When that same baby becomes an adult, and get hungry, the body still sends the hungry signal, but the perception may be different if our thyroid and adrenals are out of sync. Here's a typcal scenario: Most of us are very busy, we use our brain constantly now. When the brain is in constant use, it demands a huge amount of glucose. If we do not supply it with a steady and adequate amount, the adrenal glands will be forced to call upon the liver to release glycogen. This works fine in the short term, but if it continues you can become a victim of classical conditioning. It goes something like this: We eat a high carb food like bread or potatoes, and insulin is released in blood. Because of the high carbs, too much insulin goes into circulation and the cells start to ignore it just the way you begin to ignore a sound you keep hearing over and over again. That's the way the body treat's insulin. Yor cells ignore the insulin, now you feel even more hungry because the insulin is needed to get the glucose in the blood. The body will switch to trying to use arginine to get glucose into your cells. Arginine has been spending alot of time keeping your blood vessels open and blood flowing smoothly by making nitric oxide. If you don't have enough arginine around, uh-ohh, now you're in trouble. The adrenal glands have released adrenalin and its floating around in the circulation. Better do something about it because it'll start destroying everything in its path.

This goes on and on, day after day, year after year until finally, the adrenal glands some showing signs of needing a big break. We know it too, because we always feel like we need a break. The adrenals are tired. The thyroid tries to take up the slack, they keep calling on the adrenals "Keep going you can do it!"

What happened? The liver hasn't made enough glycogen because the thyroid is on vacation. The end result? Stress. This is very stressful for the body.

If you have sensitive thyroid-adrenals, your body becomes very sensitive to stress. Many times it may manifest itself as developing gray hair at an early age, but sometimes this does not occur. Anything that lowers the function of the adrenals and thyroid will depressed them, and you will feel "depressed" from it. The depression may manifest itself as lack of energy, lack of motivation, irritability, and sleep disturbances. Generally, what affects the thyroid affects the adrenal glands. The adrenal glands and the thyroid need key nutrients in order to function. There is no "backup", meaning, if you are lacking in just one of these nutrients the impact will be quite large on these organs. If is beyond the scope of this particular title to discuss in detail how the thyroid hormones work but suffice it to say here that the thyroid needs tyrosine and iodine to make thyroid hormones T3 and T4. Anything that blocks the formation, release, or uptake of these compounds has the result of blocking the function of the thyroid gland and adrenals glands. You will be surprised at how easily these substances are blocked. Most of them come in the for of stressors from our surroundings:

Know the adrenal and thyroid troublemakers from your Air

Airstress: The air can be very disrupted in many ways to the thyroid and adrenals. I will only discuss the ones that have a major impact Iodine is an element found in group 7 of the periodic table. Anytime you breathe in any of the other elements in Group 7 on the periodic table, particularly bromine, fluorine, or chlorine, your iodine will be displaced by them. The other halogen compounds do not function as thyroid hormones with tyrosine. Remember, the thyroid uses iodine and tyrosine to make thyroid hormones. You can check your air by entering your zip code at Http:www.scorecard.org. The reason you want to also check you air is because you want to know the extent of your environmental factors. The only ones you want to be concerned with at this point is when the group 7 elements are present. For example, to use this site first enter a zipcode. Then, under the title Toxics, click on "the top chemicals released in your county". You want to see if any of the following are in your air: hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid, lead, mercury or arsenic compounds. The lead and arsenic will block the body's ability to utilize iron, which can become important if you are not consuming enough iron. If the iron deficiency becomes severe enough it will manifest itself in the form of depression, which may have been preceded by anemia. The fluorine from hydrofluoric acid or the chlorine from hydrochloric acid in the air can displace iodine in your body, thus blocking the proper formation of thyroid hormone, which when levels are low, you feel lack of energy and all of the symptoms of a person who is hypothyroid. If hydrofluoric acid or hydrochloric acid is floating around in the air, you can consume large amounts of these compounds, and in fact, even more so than if you were eating them because they now have direct access to the bloodstream. The consumption becomes much greater if it enters in through the lungs. If you suffer from any chronic deseases such as heart or autoimmune disease, your adrenals and thyroid can take quite a beating if certain metals are in the air. If your air has either lead or cadmium will hammer the adrenals, causing them to lose the ability to function if you continue to ingest these compounds. If your air has arsenic, chromium, manganese, or zinc floating around in it, and you have autoimmune tendancies, your immune system can destroy your adrenals and thyroid gland due to over ingestion, especially if through the lungs, of any one of these compounds. They are the autoimmune metals. You can use the site above to check for these compounds as well.

The other major source of adrenal and thyroid troublemakers is built into computers. If you work in an area with lots of computers, and especially if the ventilation is poor, you can end up ingesting large amounts of bromine. The bromine is "off-gassed" from the computers. If you go into a public library, for example, the air may be thick with it, althouth you cannot see it. If you breathe in fumes from you home computer system and have weak adrenals/thyroid, you can set yourself up for major sleep problems as well, especially if you sleep in the room with these while they are on. The adrenal glands can become full of bromine, which will have a huge and negative impact on these organs. Note also that the pituitary gland gives a master signal to the thyroid. The pituitary gland, thyroid, and adrenal are particularly sensitive to "background" noise oscillations. The nervous systems communicates via electrial signals. An interruption in these signals blocks nerve impulses, and no amount of nutrients can stop it completely but some may help. The electrical signal can be interrupted greatly by wireless signals coming from you or your neighbors home, or if you live too close to a cell phone tower base. Living too close means living a quarter of a mile or less. You can check to see how close you live by going to www.antennasearch.com and entering in your address. These signals makes it easy for us to use technology but can be very disrupted to the the thyroid and especially the adrenal glands.

Know the adrenal and thyroid troublemakers from your Water

Unless you live in a small city that does not fluoridate your water there is a great possibility that you bathe in a combination of fluoride and chlorine each day. If chlorine is in your water, that means your water was contaminated with bacteria and needed chlorine to kill it. If fluoride is added, it means the same thing, but fluoride cannot be filtered out and cannot be boiled away like chlorine and unless you had a reverse osmosis system in your home. Thus everytime you shower and cook food with the water you ingest these compounds. That is only half the story. The other half in water is due to fact that your water may or may not contain lead, arsenic, nitrate, or cadmium. Lead will displace iron in the body. The iron is critical for functioning of both the thyroid and adrenals glands. Arsenic will displace iron in the body, and is very destructive to the adrenal glands. It can also build up in the lungs. Nitrate will bind to hemoglobin, lowering the oxygen levels in the body. This is especially not good if you have low functioning adrenals and thyroid and have developed sleep apnea. The combination of sleep apnea, which starves you of oxygen plus nitrates, which starves you of more oxygen sets you on a destructive path and the thyroid and adrenal glands will be greatly affected. The adrenals glands receive more blood for its size than any other organ in the body and is very sensitive to lack of oxygen. Nitrate is quite powerful because binds stronger than oxygen to the bloods hemoglobin. Check your water at http://www.ewg.org/tapwater/yourwater/ Enter in your zipcode and click on local findings and then your water company to examine a snapshot of your water for these compunds. If you drink bottled water, know that certain bottles contain a compound in it that is destructive for those with autoimmune tendencies (phthalate). Most plastics have them however if you were to purchase water Reverse Osmosis water in a gallon sized HDPE container, you will free up the concerns of the water issue. Bathing is another story. I can only say this--don't use more water than you have to, especially if the water contains the compounds discussed above. They will get into the blood and they thyroid and adrenals can be greatly affected by them.

Know the adrenal and thyroid troublemakers from your Food

If you cook with treated tapwater then you are aware you are consuming iodine competitors, chlorine and fluorine. If you cook with non-stick cookware, you ingest a huge amount of fluorine particles because that is what it is made of mostly. If you cook with stainless steel and have autoimmune tendencies then you can have an autoimmune reaction going on in your thyroid and adrenal glands everytime you eat out of these pots and pans, and canned food lined with nickel. Alot of canned foods are lined with an estrogen compound nowadays to avoid contact with metals, however some still use them. This is important in particular for those with autoiommune tendencies. Aluminum or even cast iron (as long as there is no ongoing infection present) may be best if you have autoimmune tendencies. Additionally, if your adrenals and thyroid are functioning on the low end, they can become extremely sensitive to even the smallest amount of any of the compounds discussed above, and additionally, to certain foods. If you eat a diet loaded with halogens and the particular elements (metals) discussed above and eat foods that decrease the functioning of the thyroid and adrenals, you set yourself up for depression. Foods that strongly inhibit the thyroid glands are soy foods, and foods from the brassica vegetable. Mustard greens, a brassica vegetable, do not have too much of an impact and in fact, contain tyrosine. If your adrenals and thyroid function is low, if is important not to consume anything that blocks the thyroid and adrenals after 2pm. This means no brassica vegetables, especially no soy (check all of your processed foods, especially the breads...only soy lecithin is okay, no peanuts or peanut butter, and no garlic or onions. Especially try not to consume soy and food dyes (they look like thyroid hormones but have no function) and the brassicas at bead time, as the affects of these are immediate. The food dyes can induce depression in adults and hyperactivity/depression in children quite quickly (within the hour). They do this by blocking the thyroid and causing hypoglycemia. These food items discussed above items have a much greater impact at bedtime, when you need your adrenals and thyroid to help you breathe properly at night and to avoid sleep apnea. If you have low thyroid/adrenal function, such habits will leave you with breathing problems while you sleep and you will wake up "cold" in the morning (body temperature below 98.6). Depending on your state of affairs, you may have to avoid these items completely to get your adrenals and thyroid functioning as best as they can without meds. It only takes ONE of these substances and the impact can last for hours to more than a day. That is how powerful each of them are. Finally, if you eat too much protein, including that from beans you never give the body the opportunity to take up tryptophan. Tryptophan, needed to make serotonin, has to compete for uptake and its largest competitors comes from high protein meals. If you suspect you have depleted your tryptophan levels, a quick and natural way to replace tryptophan in the diet to eat salmon or natural turkey, with a baked sweet potato. The carbohydrates from the sweet potato will create a path for tryptophan to be taking up into the body without having to compete with other large neutral amino acids.

Know that a grounding problem from your car or home, or a very strong wireless signal can begin to shut down your adrenals.

Modern cars run by unleaded gasoline. Old diesel engines contaminated the air. The downside of this is the air is cleaner, but the human body is made to absorb huge amounts of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) everytime you get in a car and drive. If you have an alternator problem with your car, get it fixed because what you do not want is stray voltage on top of the large amount of EMR present in a running vehicle. Cars are grounded but foreign cars tend to rank poorly when it comes to "electrical quality" (the fuel efficiency is great but it is at the cost of your body being in contact with electrical pollution form the vehicle when it is on. GMC vehicles, Volvos, and cars built before 1985 have the least problems with this issue. The adrenals are greatly impacted because this is where much of the energy originates in the human body in the form of adrenaline., and that is why alot of people feel tired after driving. If you drive and talk on a cell phone and you now have both the adrenals and the thyroid held hostage. Adrenaline is quite powerful, is listed as an explosive substance actually. However, in the small amounts which the body makes, it keeps up healthy and free from depression. The adrenal glands also contains large amounts of melanin, which is the electrical conductive material of the human body. One does not one to destroy their adrenal glands, as nothing works right without them, and other organs will began to cease functioning properly if the adrenals degenerate. In my opinion, if B12 levels are normal, a source of vitamin C before driving can go along way to help the adrenals cope with this issue. You also want to know if your home is grounded properly. If not, it'll take out your adrenal glands quicker than most other organs. Electricity can really do a number on the adrenals, and if your car or home is poorly grounded, you can not only suffer depression, but can shed years off your life for something that can be easily corrected. For more on the electrical issue, and wireless see "Electricity's dirty little secret" and "Radiate Me". This, like lead and cadmium, is a very important issue. Recently wireless has been suggested as a cause of constant irritability, a symptom that may appear in conjunction with depression. Although most may not avoid all signals from wireless, some are with our control such as our home computers, and our cell phones, especially at night. Sleep quality is extremely important for the adrenals and thyroid to function properly. It is very stressful for the body to deal with this chaos that you cannot see because the body's defences drops and the adrenals and thyroid are very receptive to the environment when you sleep. A first step for some may simply be not sleeping with the cell phone turned on.

Know if your adrenals and thyroid are handicapped from lack of certain nutrients

If you use table salt, you get iodine, but you can't have it without the chlorine that goes with it. The group 7 elements are only half of the story. The other half comes from certain metals, mainly arsenic, lead, cadmium and mercury. If it becomes severe enough you feel depressed. The same can be said for the adrenals. The adrenals are extremely sensitive to cadmium, lead, arsenic and mercury. The adrenals are one of the most important glands in the body and must respond to stress, a lifesaving mechanism that is critical for survival. The element cadmium is "sticky" meaning, it sticks to hormones made in the kidneys and does not let go, thus these hormones are wasted. It binds more tightly much more tights than the other metal, meaning for example, one atom of cadmium can have an affect of ten to hundreds times of that of a lighter metal like mercury. Zinc, which is critical for the functioning of the adrenals, gets used up very quickly in the presence of cadmium (especially know if this destructive compound, along with lead, is in your air or water). Mercury is lighter than cadmium, however its affect on the adrenals is quite large. Mercury is well-known for using up the vital methyl groups in your body. The methyl groups, among other functions, are critical for the formation of neurotransmitters. Vitamin B12 can be quickly used up as well as the antioxidant selenium (which also plays a supportive role in the thyroid). These same neurotransmitters are the targets for certain antidepressant medication. Without enough methyl groups in the body, you cannot make enough epinephrine (also known as adrenaline) in the adrenal glands because norepinephrine must be methylated to form adrenaline. A lack of adrenaline will leave you feeling tired and depressed. Where did the methyl groups go? If mercury is in your diet, water, or air, they get stuck to the mercury and form the well-known methyl-mercury. The body has no use for this compound, it is destructive, and it makes the body skimpy on its ability to methylate compounds. But the story does not end there. Once neurotransmitters are formed, nerves leading to the thyroid and adrenals must be activated to release the substances within. Your thyroid and adrenals can have all the thyroid hormone and adrenal hormones they need, but it will be useless if they cannot be activated to release them by nerve activation. If the nerves begin to degenerate, you will not only suffer symptoms of depression, you may have sleep apnea at night, and will be in a vicious cycle of lack of sleep/ and depression. For nerve function this is where vitamin B12 becomes critical, helps form neurotransmitters and keeps nerves coated with a substance called myelin, which speeds up the rate of a nerve signal. A lack of vitamin B12 will result in loss of nerve function as well as lead to anemia because it helps to form blood cells. If you are low on vitamin B12 and take too much vitamin C, you will destroy the little B12 you have remaining, your nerves will cease to function properly and you will also become anemic. The end result is the adrenals glands will begin to "burn out", and the other B vitamins in the adrenals will become destructive to the body, not constructive in the face of lack of B12. If you eat alot of wheat, you can deplete your body of vitamin A and E, both of which are needed by the thyroid gland. They thyroid gland must use vitamin A, not beta carotene, to form thyroid hormone. If a person's thyroid gland is functioning too low below normal, they cannot make vitamin A and must consume it as Vitamin A, and they cannot absorb vitamin B12. The result is depression, nerve conduction problems, and night blindness, trouble fighting off certain viruses, and hypersensitivities to stressors from chemicals and an inability to ward off the damaging effects of electrical signals from the environment. Vitamin D helps lift depression as well due to its affect on thyroid receptors, but must be activated by sunlight first. Unless you suffer from sarcoidosis, it may be of great benefit, especially if you live in a norther cold climate.. Vitamin A and D are powerful however and once normal levels are reached, should not be overconsumed as too much formed Vitamin A can damage the liver and too much Vitamin D can cause atheriosclerosis. The lack of these mutrients can be just as damaging however.

Dear Human: Don't Forget To Deworm

`"And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it" Exodus 12:8

"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live b bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4

These are powerful statements. Notice that it mentioned bitter herbs being eaten with the flesh. Animal flesh tend to be contaiminated with bacteria, viruses, worms, and their eggs. You would be amazed at how vital the two biblical verses above are to your health.

What am I talking about? Let's talk about worms. I am not talking about your dog (if you have one). I am talking about you. You may have heard that worms is something that only happens in so-called "third world countries", however we live in the same world they do, the chances that you are a worm carrier is extremely high. In fact, it is estimated that 90% of Americans are infested with parasites. Many of us have been infested our entire life, beginning from when we were children. You may have never actually seen the worm. But if you eat the eggs, which are very tiny, they will grow into something much bigger, and they will grow inside of you. The eggs can be found everywhere, from the soil to the playground, to the daycare center to the restaurant, at your job, in other peoples homes, from the dog who rubbed his butt on your carpet, and that cat that licked in places we will not describe. They are spread mostly by people not washing their hands, after coming in contact with their anus, or from leftovers from someone elses hand. The tiny eggs and parasites lie quietly, waiting to be picked up by a host (that means you), and once they are swallowed, the parasites just keep on growing. They thrive on sugar, dairy, carbohydrates, chemicals and are fascinated with meat.

If you are wondering about the possiblity of whether or not you have worms, ask yourself these questions: Have you ever eaten undercooked meat? Dairy? Beef from a fast food restaurant? How about raw food such as a salad that you did not clean yourself? Have you ever had sushi without the wasabi? Ever had raw eggs? Ever had cooked eggs as even though the eggs are cooked, there is still egg on the utensil you used that is undercooked. Do you eat pork, which like chicken and their eggs are a huge parasite carrier. The same can be said for ground beef. Have you ever eaten at a buffet? Have you ever eaten dirt? Does your child, or have you, ever attended daycare? Did you suck your thumb as a child? Do you own a dog or a cat? Ever played with a kitten or puppy that hadn't been 'wormed'? Changed diapers, or washed someone elses rear end without washing your hands? Do you have a ferocious appetite, or always just never seem to get enough to eat? Have you ever had digested problems? Circulation problems? How many times have you eaten a meal without properly washing your hands? Did you even wash your hands? Do you eat while driving at the same time? The more "yesses" you answer to these questions, the higher the probably that you have some breadsnatchers living within you. Now you can see why it is estimated that 90% of the people living in the United States is infected with parasites, especially worms. The other 10% are obviously doing something (or not doing something) to keep themselves clean, as no one is invincible to them. Once they are in you, it can be difficult to get them out if not done properly. To even get some of them out would be a boost to health for many of us.

Many people don't feel sick from the worms in them and they tend to just live with them, while others have "mild symptoms". Still, in others, they have so many worms in them that the worms and other parasites are in fact, the problem. Many of the same problems that worms create for dogs, also create for humans, especially when it comes to the intestines, lungs, and heart. I find it curious that many times we will come across an old dog with arthritis and breathing problems, and they say all dogs will eventually die of heartworms. Worms can indeed, migrate to the lungs of both dogs and humans, as well as the joints. Parasites love the liver and intestines, and is usually the number one organ where the majority may be found. However, they can live quite comfortably anywhere in the body, including the brain and eyes, causing great distress to the host. If you have chronic digestive complaints, have tried everything else, including elimination diets and know you are getting the proper nutrients, consider that you still stand much to gain from killing off the worms. It can really can free up a great deal of your immune system as you will no longer have to fight off these very large organisms. Simply put, its like telling the worms "I cannot afford to have you live off me anymore. I can barely make it myself."

I remember from my adolescent years, we had a dog in our home named Tina. One day, Tina was found "expired" in the backyard, all 4 legs in the air. Cause? Turned out, she had "heartworms". We had no idea. We (children) were given castor oil periodically however, so that may have covered some bases for us. No amount of nutrition could have stop the devastating effect the worms had on our dog, and most vets know this. The worms must be killed. The same can be said for humans, if a problem exists. As a child, I periodically received a dose of castor oil, however I never knew the reason behind the castor oil. Therefore, when I became an adult, that is a practice I did not continue. Let me tell you, it is for the same reason some people take garlic everyday. Sometimes, a particular parasite in a person is immune to garlic, or has grown so large, not even garlic can kill it. That's where herbs and other remedies come in. It makes me wonder about the 98 year old grandmother someone spoke to me about, who never grew anything...but she did grow 3 herbs on good soil in her backyard, including thyme and mint (both worm killers), obviously eaten fresh, and she did this for years.

On a separate occasion, I remember visiting some family members years ago and they were complaining about the water. One day, the mother of the home turned on the water and some little green worms came out. The water company explained they were having "treatment" difficulties, and to boil all the water. Water can most definately carry parasites, including worms too small to see with the naked eye. That is why parasites and larvae is found on all fish. This is highly probable for water coming from a river or lake, and so called "surface" water given to people in some cities. If a city is using surface water, better hope their treatment killed all the eggs, because if not, they will hatch and grow in you if your stomach or digestive system is compromised in any way.

Do not expect your doctor to talk about, or even make a deal about worms and other parasites. If you are an adult, the chances are even more slim because the attitude is adults and worms don't go together. And yet, it is this attitude that many adults suffer. Also, doctors do not go to "herbal school". They are mostly taught which herbs and drugs don't go together and this is valuable knowledge if you are on drugs. Now, some of the most toxic herbs are losing favor as doctors have discovered some of their serious side effects simply by people using them the wrong way, or simply using them. This topic however is not about highly toxic herbs. People who are most prone to complications from worms are those living with chronic disease, autoimmune illness, cancer, digestive illness, drinking water of poor quality, and retroviral infections. When it comes to infection, in the doctor's office, the focus is mostly on bacteria. Most of us are never examined for parasites, or if we do give for instance, a stool culture, it comes up negative. There are a some drugs aimed for parasites, but the side effects tend to be greater in them than for the better herbs. Also, doctors will not prescribe anything to treat parasites unless they have evidence, and that is good because they would not know what to treat. Most parasites will hang on tight and many will not pass their eggs at the time a stool culture is taken. If you give a person the right treatment, most of the time, worms will suddenly appear in the stool of a person who cultured negative by their doctor, but with many digestive complaints, some still alive and squirming like mad. If you talk to an elderly who knows the power of worms, they'll tell you "If you suspect your child has worms and they're causing trouble, wait til the night, after following asleep. Get a flashlight several hours after the child has fallen asleep and shine it suddenly to the anus, as the worms will have come out to "rest" and you'll see them. Look for small white threadlike things. " Still some others prefer the "tape" method-that is, placing some clear tape on the anus so they can get caught on it.

The same heartworms that infect your dog or cat can in fact, in certain instances, infect humans. Some may not have ever heard of this, but is has happened. People tend to especially pick up parasite infections from animals, children, and food. If the children or an animal is a carrier, if they are not treated, they can easily reinfect you as some parasites are very contagious. As a matter of fact, any one who owns a dog or cat, or children, and especially if the animal is kept indoors, should consider using herbs twice a year to deworm themselves. When it comes to small children especially, they go out and come into contact with many other children, which tend to be high carriers as they do not "wipe" themselves correctly, and tend not to practice good hygiene. With animals, we give special care to our pets but we don't think that such a phenomenom could ever happen to us. If there is a single individual, human or animal, with a contagious parasitic infection living in your home, they can reinfect you over and over again. Many times, it may not cause them any distress, but that does not mean it will bring no harm to you.

Where do worms live in humans? If we are lucky, they live in the intestines in small numbers and stay there without causing much harm. However, in a good number of us, for whatever reason, the worms will leave the intestines and begin to crawl around in the body, get into the lymph system, or their eggs will get carried somewhere else in your body by your bloodstream. Note that if you have parasites in the lymph system, it'll make every disease much worse because now you cannot defend yourself properly, and it will also cause inflammation as the antibodies are constantly trying to kill off a bacteria or virus that is actually living on something much bigger---a worm. Additionally, for someone with cancer or a dysfunctional immune system, you especially want to keep the lymph system clear, else you will be prone to infection. In the case of a parasite infection, the worms can go to the lungs causing problems, the heart and cause distress, endocrine organs and make them malfunction, and even the brain, causing mental symptoms. At any rate, since worms live in just about all of us, why not purge the little boogers? You eat food, they eat your food, hey that's where part of your vitamins and minerals are going. When we fast, they begin to starve. They only want to do one thing in you: eat and reproduce.

Most doctors and most parents for that matter, are not trained on how to properly treat worms, and many wrongly assume that its only something to be concerned with in other countries, or in children. If you put 10 doctors in a room however, the chance is, 9 of them will have worms in them. That does not mean that is it making them sick, just simply that they co-exist with them. Remember, we were all children at one time. If you picked up worms as a child and was never treated, the chances are extremely high that they are still in you. This may be a reason behind so called "it runs in the family". Although genes may be involved somewhat, if your parents never taught you how to prevent or treat illness outside of the doctor's office, this habit will be passed on from generation to generation. Thus, the chance of being infected again and again will be passed on from generation to generation. Thus the real phrase, instead of a genetic cause, is "it is in the lack of being informed", not the genes. Also, many infections are picked up while we were children, only to give us major problems later when we become adults. This has nothing to do with genes. It has to do with not being treated on a periodic basis, and many times, such parents are only doing what they were taught. To think health is only about eating the right foods is setting oneself up for possible trouble. It is also about how to kill those things on food or in your body that you do not want to eat, even though you may not know what they all are. Even the healthiest vegetable can cause major trouble if it is infected with something. I suggest for starters, take a "cook all" or "properly clean all" attitude if suffering from any chronic disease. Also, by cutting back on meats, you cut back on a ton of viruses, bacteria, and parasites, especially worm eggs. This is where they are especially found in high numbers. All vegetables need to be treated properly as well, and even if it came out of a can--heat kill. If someone asks you how you like your eggs cooked, say "scrambled hard". If someone asks you how you like your steak cooked say "cremate it". If you order a salad after eating out, remember, you didn't wash it. If you order sushi, don't forget the wasabi. Its best to takes some kind of herb behind those sunny side up or runny eggs, or that medium rare steak, or that mouth-watering sushi because if you have eaten them, you've just swallowed some parasites. Parasites, can cause serious or chronic illnesses, all of which can be handled with the right remedy.

If you have a great number of worms in you, you may even see some in you stool, which in certain varieties sometimes appears like grains of white rice. The longer worms tend to stay put however, and in some people these things can grow up to several feet long and still live in their gut. If you give them a taste of the right herb however, even the long ones will come running out, or die on the spot.

What is the proper way to treat worms? Well, worms have a life cycle. If you kill the adults but not the eggs, the eggs will grow into adults again. If you kill the eggs but not the adults, the adults will lay more eggs, thus you have a vicious cycle.

Do you kill them suddenly? No. That will be very uncomfortable, to have the worms in you suddenly die off. Your body will also have a huge mess to clean up and you can feel like you're getting quite ill from killing them that fast. Large doses of black walnut oil for instance, would kill a huge amount of worms very quickly. It is very powerful, which is why if you put black walnut oil in soil where worms live, you can rest assure they will come running out like they were on fire. A more gentle approach is warranted, and black walnut has been used in smaller and safer doses to treat everything from worms to cancer. When it comes to herbs, it is the oils from them that are extremely potent. That is why you can cook with sage, thyme, and other herbs, but you cannot consume the oil of these herbs, as it is too potent. This can be said for a great number of herbs we cook with everyday. However, when grown and prepared properly, they make great medicines. If you cannot grow them, you still can buy them fresh. Many of the herbs that serve dual purposes--for eating and as medicine, that are found in the grocery store aisle have been treated, and many have lost their medicinal potency , and will not be as effective, especially for expelling parasites. It is the freshness of herbs that seems important when used as medicine.

Is there any benefit to having the worms in you? If you think having something eat your vitamins and minerals, crawl around in your gut, and in some people, make their way around in your bloodstream with the motto "eat and reproduce" is beneficial then perhaps so. There was one case however of someone with Crohn's disease who felt better after becoming infected with pinworms. Besides the fact that the worms are freeloaders, history has taught us that people who take the right herbs for their health (many of which kill worms) tend to be healthier and live longer.

What are some of the herbs that have been used to kill and expel worms? Killing and expelling are two differnt things. If you use an herb or regime that expels but don't kill, you run the risk of it crawling back up into the intestine. If you kill but don't expel, you run the risk of the eggs left behind hatching in you and serving as food for those left behind. A regime that only expels will do nothing to kill worms and eggs that have relocated to organs higher up in the torso and head. Herbs can indeed, be divided into ones that expel, and ones that kill. Herbs used to treat worms are black walnut, wormwood (the prima donna of worm killers), garlic, sage (yes, the same herb used in your Thanksgiving dressing), ginger, castor oil, Pau D' Arco, thyme (another herb found in your cabinet), bitter lemon (actually, this is a vegetable found in indian markets that looks like an ugly cucumber), milk thistle herb to support the liver (but doesn't kill anything but can protect the liver during a killoff), ginger, peppermint, and the list goes on. There are many products on the market, that combine worm killers in different ways, including ones for kids, but since I do not know the efficacy of any of them through personal experience, i cannot say what works best for you. After all, no one knows which worms you have. Some dewormers, like castor oil, will only expel them. Others, like blackwalnut, and Pau d' Arco will kill them outright. Worms like Ascaris, and flatworms, pinworms, are commonly found in humans. If wanting to kill worms within the body, it is better to have an understanding of the proper ways to do it if wanting to kill them outright. Some people simply take a tablespoon of castor oil each month and don't bother to go beyond. Still others will really get into it and will take an herb until they see the worms come running out of them, sometimes up to a fool long. I do not know what the "best" product is, and what may work for one person may not work for another. There should be no harm however in occasionally including some herbs like thyme, garlic, ginger, or peppermint, pau d' arco, or taking a tablespoon of castor oil, etc. in your diet, because these kill worms. For a more powerful course, or you are unsure about the course you may have purchased, I suggest contacting someone trained in the arts of herbs, or that practices alternative medicine and knows how to deworm a human properly. Many people treat themselves at home however, killing some, but not all the worms.

What are the symptoms of a worm or parasite infection? People with a persistent parasite/worm infestation tend to have blood problems, esp. anemia, muscle and joint complaints, mood problems, bloating, itchy anus at times, digestive complaints, heart and lung problems if it has spread, discomfort in the stomach or liver area, or they may not have any symptoms at all. They strongly resemble the symptoms of allergies. Stomach acid, which is suppose to kill worm eggs, will set you up for it if it is low, and can also give you asthma symptoms. Know that the symptoms of having too much stomach acid is exactly the same as not having enough. When it comes to a major worm problem, I suggest to really pay attention to the symptoms at night, which can include tooth grinding and clenching, and lots of drooling. The latter are also symptoms of being under stress while sleeping but if they coincide with digestive complaints beware. Remember, if we wait until we had symptoms for everything that afflicted us, then we would surely be aflicted every time. This is called "reactive medicine". The wise indian and even doctors know it is easier to prevent than to treat, and that is why vaccinations exists. This is called "preventive medicine". On the other hand, if you have never had a "preventive" attitude, there's no telling what you've collected along the way, and taking garlic, or castor oil, or pau d' arco periodically may not be enough even though it may make you feel better. Some people cannnot tolerate something as common as garlic but do very well on something not so common, such as pau d' arco. Still further, some things can even be taken while pregnant, such as castor oil.
One may correctly assume that if you rarely consume something that kills worms and other parasites, however have been eating their eggs, yours should be in greater number and larger than those who do. If your immune system ever beccomes compromised in any way, they can very well begin to give you trouble. If many years have passed, and you are suffering from a suspected worm infection that has spread, a more aggressive treatment is needed. Some herbs will simply put them to sleep and if you can keep them asleep long enough they will starve to death. Other herbs will put them asleep temporarily, in which they would then eventually wake up with a ferocious appetite and will make you very hungry. Some types, you do not want to put to sleep, you just want to starve and kill them as they are great troublemakers. From then on, a mild but regular regime can keep the problem from growing out of hand again. A good number will fall into this category.

The bigger picture: Why not just take antiobiotics? If you take an antibiotic, it'll only target bacteria, and in some instances the right antibiotic can be life-saving. Antiobiotics however do not kill worms. Antiobiotics do not kill viruses either. Some drugs exists specifically for certain types of worms, but the different types of worms that plague humans is well into the thousands. Worms actually "like" chemicals and will eat them like food, unless it a chemical in the form of a drug, that's specific to that parasite. Many times, the viruses or a bacteria living on a worm is harmful. This may not cause you many problems if you are "healthy". However if you're already having problems, it can be a burden. If you get a a bacterial or viral infection, for some reason, your immune system did not protect you from this tiny pest. I think much progress has been made in the way of bacteria and viruses, however we have taken our eyes off the bigger pest that tend to carry tons of these things--the worms and the other large parasites that live within us. Sometimes they can make their way out of the gut completely and live between the organs, where our immune system can't reach. Consider a virus, something we can only see with some of the most powerful microscopes available, to a worm, something so large we can see it with the naked eye. Worms tend to be infected with a huge load of viruses and bacteria. If you only kill the virus or the bacteria, the worm is still there, and more bacteria and viruses will grow on it again. If you kill both the worm and their eggs you will kill a huge organism that is housing where many of them are living. It could be that the worm in you simply attract the wrong kind of bacteria and viruses (such as Ascaris). If you have a chronic gut problem that isn't relieved by antibiotics, you begin to realize something down below just isn't right. I'd say aim for the humongous worms first, then the smaller bacteria and viruses, unless you highly suspect a specific virus or bacteria is causing you trouble. Keep in mind however, that if you kill off worms, your immune system no longer has to protect you against this huge parasite.

All said, I think everyone, and especially those who have suffered a chronic illness should give the issue with worms some thought. If you decide to follow a formal deworming protocol from a product you've purchased, the best information you can have is how often do you need to use it, how much, and the components safety profile. You want to know at all times what is in the ingredients. There are many that are experienced in the herbs. If unsure, contact an herbalist. If you come across a product on the net, ask their opinion about it. Take heed to the testimonies of others (the ones that appear real at least) that are on the net, aw well as the elderly who never use the net. A company would a good profile may stand out. From what I've seen , many old people take common herbs without asking their doc or telling anyone...they grow it or buy it and eat it. I am not saying you should do it, but this is what I've seen many of them do. You have to have a certain amount of control over your own health. If you try something and it doesn'tt feel right then stop taking it, and have this same attitude towards drugs. If you take pharmaceutical drugs, you have additional considerations, at least for deworming, such as drug-herb interactions. Many of the herbs used to kill worms however are "food" and when the right one is used properly, can do more good than not for your health. Many dewormer products sold can be too dilute to work. There are a few if you did an internet search that has many claims to work quite well, even with details of exactly how they did it. It is said a true herbal dewormer--you'll see the worms come out. You can also go to the nearest pharmacy and ask for a human dewormer without a prescription. This may be the first step for some. But these tend to target only certain types of worms.

Electricity's dirty little secret

The effect of combining electricity with today's technology can be devastating to some and cause health problems to others.

I remember the first time I walked into a restaurant that had wireless technology. I was estastic because I could hop on the internet with my laptop. I remember the first time I used a cordless. I was glad that I could walk around the house without being "tied to the wall". I remember the first time I used a cell phone. After using if for only a day I thought "Who needs a home phone when you can have a cell phone?" I promptly got rid of my home phone.

Wireless technology is so widespread today that you can turn on a laptop or computer with a wireless feature and it'll "jump" on the internet, even in some people's home that have not set up internet service. Even parks are installing wireless. As a matter of fact, the attitude appears to be, if you're not "wired" then you're doing a disservice to your community.

The Hi-fi world we live in today has opened up a can of worms. Something we have lived with our entire lives, electricity, has a "dirty little secrete". It's called "dirty electricity" by some and "stray voltage" by others, and aside from the fact that you can have unwanted electricity flowing through your body, it generates something called electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs). The electric industry and the wireless/electronic technologies are in fact, separate industries. The result of ineffectively combining the two? Problems.

Being exposed to too much electricity/EMFs/wireless, at is worse, can make you develop an electrical disease, commonly known as EHS. It goes by several aliases, including electrohypersensitivity (name for Sweden, USA), also known as electrical hypersensitivy (name for Sweden), also known as electrosensitivity (name for USA) also known as radiofrequency sickness syndrome (name for Russia), also known as radio wave sickness (name for the USA), also known as microwave syndrome (name for Spain), also known as microwave sickness (name for Germany, Russia). Despite the many names it is called, the results are all the same-you become allergic to electricity and wireless technology. It sees no boundaries, does not discrimate between race or sex, and crosses professional lines, and quite frankly, has some doctors "stumped". It is also suggested that this situation is more widespread than we realize, and some doctors are treating patients for one illness, when the real culprit is their electrical environment. Also, when doctors and scientist are personally affected by electrical pollution, you can rest assure the situation is more likely to brought to light. To date, the only treatment for EHS is avoidance.

If you're thinking "Why haven't I heard about it?" join the many others who have not. How real is it? Very. Consider the following examples:

-Dr. William Rae, ex surgeon in Dallas Texas, developed EHS and now shares his knowledge with others: You can review it here http://www.emfpollution.com/drrae

-In Sweden, they have an epidemic of people affected by electricity/EMF. Now it is designated as a disability. If you want to review some of the many cases (and there are a huge number of them) in Sweden, email me and I'll send you the document. Sweden has a ten year technological "jump" on the U.S., that's why EHS/EMF disease is more prevalent there. The U.S. appears to be quite uninformed of of this issue, but it is estimated that a small percentage of people in the U.S. may have underlying sensitivities to electrical and magnetic fields.

-Electrohypersensitivity can be so strong for some people, a cell phone can make them pass out.

-Review this victim's story:
http://www.emf-health.com/reports-distresssignals.htm

-You can review Dr. Lisa Nagy, MD, another victim of EHS here: http://www.avaate.org/article.php3?id_article=328

-Another victim, Andrew Washington, says: "I'm a 39-yr old IT Manager who's developed EHS after years of working on the top floor of a steel framed 150m from a mobile phone mast. Two weeks ago I hadn't heard of this but now when I am exposed I feel like I'm in a microwave."

-"Radio wave sickness" apparently ruined this person's medical career: http://www.whale.to/b/elf6.html

The British Government has joined Sweden in recognizing EHS is a real illness:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article565208.ece

You can read a brief report on how I personally developed EHS myself under "My story".

And so on, and so on...

Why go through the trouble of checking out your electrical environment? As you can see from some of the examples above, the amount of electrical activity in the air is making some people sick. The list of symptoms caused by this is growing.

The more "techno savy" your home (or work), the more chance you may have of interrupted something that some electrician went through much care to set right: the electrical environment of your home. Sometimes, your workplace can be the culprit. In some unfortunate, they have a combination of problems, both at home and at work.

With the addition of the wireless technology, which is soaring, electricians can't keep up with the pace. Many people are unaware that they may have a problem. The electrical infrastructure of most cities we live in today were not designed to accomodate the massive of amount of electronics and wireless devices plugged into them. Many of these devices create alot of background radio "noise". In a home or workplace that is electrically unstable, stray voltage is commonly found. A surge protector is of little use if the problem is over the entire home or workspace, and is only designed to protect the device that is plugged into it. It will not protect you from the effects of wireless, nor will it protect you from stray voltage. Wireless devices, although not directly connected, are adding to the effect. Electrical problems at home or work can originate from the outside, such as a leaky power line, a neutral, a or even your neighbor, or can develop on the inside from a fault in your circutry.

What can you do?

There are some things you can do to decrease your chances of creating an unstable environment in your home, and possibly stave off the harmful effects of electricity and wireless. Here is some steps you can take at home:

-Think twice about having a combination of dimmer switches and lots of high tech devices plugged up in your home

-Inspect your home with your own EMF meter, or have your home inspected by an expert in electricity and EMF emissions. An electrician who also has EMF knowledge can be very useful.

-If you live in a place where you can look through the front door and out of the back door, this design, especially, has been shown to create problems.

-Don't live or work longterm, too close to cell phone masts, or the antennaes designed to magnify their signals. If you live very close to a cell phone mast, this is the one situation where it may be in your best interest to move, as it is a very difficult situation to correct. Antennaes are commonly found on rooftops of buildings and persons on the top floor, or who work directly under them are more likely to be affected. Cell phones masts, also known as base stations, may be found anywhere. Some countries have begun to disguise them as flagpoles, chimneys, etc. due to backlash from communities that accuse them of causing their health problems. How close is too close? One study apparently showed that at 400 meters for long term exposure for persons who lived near a cell phone masts, which emits much greater energy than antennae, there was a 3-fold risk of cancer. At 350 meters the risk jumped to a ten-fold increase, and that people living within 400 yards of a cell phone masts had high rates of cancer, brain hemorrhages, and high blood pressure. Another study demonstrated that health affects can eventually arise in some by living just a quarter of a mile from a cell phone mast. If you are in a situation where you are close to a cell tower, perhaps it is not something you want to do long term as the microwaves create high amounts of EMFs.

-If you find that you have an electrical problem, investigate the use of Graham-Stetzer filters.

With today's technology it may be best to own a device called a handheld Trifield meter, which can pick up both electrical surges in the air as well as EMFs (for more information about this device, see "Radiate Me"). For a smaller group of individuals, these individuals may become sensitized after longterm exposure to either, in which case all sources of EMFs and electricity can become problematic. Although the work environment is important, the home environment is where we sleep and special care should be taken to ensure that it is safe. If dirty power is a factor in the home or work environment, it may multiply the adverse health effects of cell phone masts, attennaes, the use of electrical equipment, and even your own car.

In Biblical Days

We have come along way since Biblical days but we are still human, made up of flesh and blood, and in need of the same basic nutrients God originally put on this Earth--good food, good water, and good air.

It appears that when the environmental impact exceeds the ability of our bodies to heal is when our so-called genes "come out". A majority of illness today is due to defective nutrition and poor water and air quality. We may never know what "ran in the family" if we nourished our bodies the way it was meant to be nourished.

Many of us are believers and we pray and some of us are healed and some of us are not, or healing comes after much suffering. I say, keep praying and give some thought to the root of most of our health problems- Our food, air, and water, aka "our environment" , has changed so much that our bodies can't keep up.

Let's go over a few concepts that may be lost on modern society:

In Biblical days, they had their own water wells and there was no such thing as a water pipe, but now we drink water not knowing where it came from nor how long its been travelling.

In Biblical days, they grew their own food, but now we eat food not knowing where it came from or how it was grown, or even if the soil was rotated, something that is extremely important. Some food we eat never see the soil, its grown in plastic.

In Biblical days, nutrients in the soil were superior to what they are today, in part because you didn't have 3 states (California, Texas, and Florida) trying to feed the entire United States. Some vitamins once in the soil simply doesn't even exist anymore. How can you replentish the soil when trying to feed millions? I can see why small farmers, or even people that simply grow food in their yard tend to have a better quality of life-no one is using up all the nutrients in their soil. To make up this soil depletion, somebody came up with the idea of "5-a-day for a better health". This is displayed not to take your money, but if you solely relied on food, that is how much it'll take to eat just to keep up what with nutritional levels of undepleted soils. The vegetables, which are "the builders", are the ones you want to focus on.

In Biblical days, parts of food consumed was tossed back onto the land. This replenishes some of the minerals and vitamins. Some farmers still do it, but most of us toss leftovers in the trash can. Most of the fresh vegetables in stores today has almost no potassium and has lost most of its vitamin C, amongst other vitamins. Did you know that the RDA for potassium is around 3500 mg/day? Next time you shop, see where you stand. See if you can add it all up. Good luck. Some of the vegetables you see in the store may also be full of water, lacking in key nutrients. Size does not equate to quality, and there are tricks to make vegetables grow fast. Some soils are poor off, they have macronutrients but no micronutrients.

In Biblical days, there were no strange compounds floating through the air from industry. Some of these compounds, have climbed very high up in the air and has depleted the protective layer over the Earth, the ozone. This happened while trying to grow enough food to feed me and you, and all of our kinfolk.

In Biblical days, you didn't need planes flying through the air dropping silver iodine everywhere trying to make it rain because the ozone has been depleted. Where did the ozone go? A significant part of it has to do with the use of household products but also due to a bleach compound that is not only added to certain foods, but is "offgassed" (thus you inhale it) from your computer monitor--bromine.

In Biblical days, the rivers and oceans were not contaminated with dioxin and other toxic compounds that has become a toxic waste dump for industry, making a key source of protein, fish, too toxic to eat, and in many cases killing them. Furthermore, you didn't have so many accidents occuring in the ocean either, killing off entire species of food. This has led to fish farming. Man cannot duplicate nature however.

In Biblical days, scientists didn't change the genes of the foods (genetic engineering) so that now in a lab, you can't tell pea genes from corn genes. This will have a huge impact on the science industry one day and in some incidences, already has. If you can't tell corn from pea, it will be very difficult to do research on food.

In Biblical days, you didn't have one country (China) making just about everything you touch and wear and shipping it to another country. Such massive efforts are risky. The problem is not with China, but "putting too many eggs in one basket". Sometimes things happen, such as the problems with the toxic metals, and toxic protein.

In Biblical days, you didn't have people complaining about what's in the grocery store because they grew most of their own food. In Biblical days, "organic" was the norm. Today, you have to be careful about eating organic because the manure from the animals used to grow it can very well be contaminated with infected feces. To kill it you have to take drastic measures by dipping the veggies in boiling hot water. Juicers, wash everything, organic or not and even it you're eating it raw. If it says "prewashed and ready to eat", wash it anyways.

In Biblical days, you didn't have entire flocks like the lamb in the USA mostly infected with a disease called scrapie, and a fear of eating cow meat due to Mad Cow Disease. Or, such a huge majority of fowl (chickens and their eggs) having a mycobacteria problem. The infection amongst industrialized animals can become quite tremendous. Thus, most lamb is shipped into the U.S., the chickens may be fed arsenic, and the cows....well, don't make beef stew with their bones, and think twice about that ground meat. Think "steak".

In Biblical days, you did not have people eating the pipes from their drinking water because of the chemicals that have been added and they live too far away from the water source.

In Biblical days, going out in the sun was a way of life. You did not have people avoiding the sun because of autoimmune disease.

In Bibical days, when feeding the masses, you did not feed corn, soy, and wheat to the chicke; corn, soy and wheat to the cow; and even corn, soy and wheat to the fish, so that everytime a person eats chicken, beef, or fish, they eat corn, soy or wheat. They call this a "vegetarian diet" but neither corn, nor wheat, nor soy is a vegetable. One is a bean and the other two are grains used to make bread. Haven't you heard the scripture "Man cannot live on bread alone"? In their natural environment a chickens will eat insects and worms and the cows will eatgrass. We know that a fish would never see corn, nor soy, nor wheat in the ocean. When an animal eats the correct food, it changes the entire environment the animals cell and it is the healthiest thing they can eat. When you eat them, your cells mimick the environment that was around their cells. You have heard of the saying "You are what you eat." Now you see where this phrase comes from.

In Biblical days, you didn't see strange occurences in nature. For example, the most recent development- the disappearance of bees out of the environment. Some are blaming it on the wireless technology, since bees send signals in the air to communicate. If the bees cannot work for us it'll get very interesting on how farmers will grow food. If the bees disappear, more than honey will disappear, and for them, this "Colony Collaspe Disorder" is a serious situation. On the flip side, the certain industries have experienced an unusual boom, the trees bloomed later than normal and the nuts were in great quantity. One farmer told me, "I have never seen chestnuts grow like this nor pecans in all the years I've been farming". So many nuts!" Nuts, although a good source of nutrition, should not be consumed in very great quantities, especially during the winter, as they can activate latent retroviral infections due to their high arginine content. Everything in moderation.

When you read the Bible, you read about people living for over two hundred years. God cut this down to around 120 years. What happened? Many of us may ask the question, where are my healthy years? Of course, it is our lifestyle. Many positives have come out of the advancement of technology, but we are not robots and we should should not forget what we're made of and what our bodies require, (or not require) to function in a healthy state.

In Biblical days, there was no such thing as a cell phone, power lines, or electricity for that matter and "electromagnetic sickness" was a thing of the future-that future is now. I should mention, one of the longest lived group of persons on the planet (the Hunzas) have none of these. There is nothing genetically special about them. Scientists discovered it was their food, air and water, especially their water.

In Biblical days, longevity was several times more in length that we see today. We still have alot of potential though (beyond a 100 years), and some other cultures and many people in the U.S. clearly illustrate this. We think 80 years is old. Eighty years is not too old to start fathering more children for some populations. You may hear, "If you are over the age of 35 your risk for many diseases increase". What they are really trying to say is that after the age of 35 your endocrine organs begin to malfunction. Many of the symptoms that pop up, contrary to popular belief, is reversible.

We can never go back to Biblical days, and obviously it was meant for us to progress. We must progress in ways that doesn't rob us of the basic necessities for a healthy body however. These basic necessities are good food, good water, and good air.

Where's The Water?

Did you know that in most cities, especially larger ones, not everyone in the city is on the same water well? Unless it is an extremely small town (you know, the kind that you'd miss if you blink your eyes), it doesn't happen. Well, what's a water well? We hear about it but when most of us think of a water well, we have a vivid image in our head of a farm, and near that farm is a hole in the ground with a bucket hanging over it. That's how it was in the old days, but yes, most farms do have wells (just about all of them in fact), but do not have the buckets anymore. Water wells have gotten more sophisticated since then.

Tap water in most cases, comes from a water well too. However, since many more people are in need of water than a house on a farm, a pump that is attached to the water well will pump the water out of the ground and into an "elevation tank". The water wells used by the city tend to be deeper to supply the large number of people in need of water. The elevation tank is used to store water that has been pumped out of the ground to meet times of greater demand when alot of people are using the water at the same time (such as in the morning). When water that has been pumped from a well, it is raised (and stored) in this elevation tank, it automatically creates enough pressure, due to gravity, for the water to flow back down at a rate fast enough and through a main pipe, and into many other pipes branching off of it. In some cases, an elevation tank by be a great distance from the water well pumping water into it. In this way, water is distributed to the entire community. The elevation tank may be near the water well, or there may be pipes leading from the water well to the elevation tank. At times, more than one water well will pump to store water in one elevation tank. Most elevation tanks look like a giant mushroom, and will have the name of the city written on the side of it. You'll generaly spot a city's elevation tank miles away before you reach the city.

Most of us drink water everyday, but probably never wonder how it makes it from the water well to the inside of our home. If you have never thought about this, join in with the millions of your fellow citizens who hasn't. Yet, we bathe ourselves in, drink, and cook with thousands of gallons of water every year. In fact, it is the one thing we put in our bodies more than anything else. After all, the human body is mostly water. For most of us, the water we consume, whether through bathing, drinking, or cooking, has been on a long road trip. How long it has been travelling, we do not know. You know your water has been running around in the pipes if no matter how long you leave the cold faucet on, it never really has a cold feel to it. This is especially the case if you live in the South, where the ground can get pretty warm, and winters aren't really that cold. Also, some pipes run deeper in the ground than others, and the warmer the pipe the more "action" you'll have between it and the water.

How deep does your well go? Well, in larger cities it can vary greatly. Some wells will be as shallow as 300 feet and other wells will be over a 1,000 feet. A well driller will keep digging until one hits water. Through experience, the driller can tell if the water is fit for consumption or not. Some types of water that drillers have "hit" have better quality and can impart better health than other types of waters. That is why even for wells on farms, one family may hit bad water and another family may hit good water with life-promoting properties that for whatever reason, people seem to live long years from drinking it. Especially suspect this when you see alot of old people in a cluster. I have seen this many times myself, and it has become very, very obvious. The reason you may have not heard of this before is due to the fact that, the entire situation lies beneath the ground, and it would take the cooperation of the old people and perhaps even an intrusion into their peronal life. It is a very complex issue to try to explain.

As for your city's well water, no two wells are exactly the same depth, therefore, no too waters will be exactly the same. What lies between those rocks would take years to figure out. Some old folks believe water that has gone through a sulfur bed is it. I believe there's a ring of truth to this. My own research on people who were very old, more often than not, appear to have pointed to some type of sulfur that was in their water. This is just some kind of "extra special" water, but there are probably others. Note that, the water company is not trying to supply you with a fountain of youth, they are just trying to supply you with water that, according to their standards, is "drinkable". My observations indicates however that in some cases they (by chance) strikes water deep in the ground with lifegiving properties for some folks, and the people living the right distance and with type of pipe going to it reap the greatest benefits. This is especially the case if they grow their food with this water and cook mostly for themselves versus eating out of cans and processed foods which, by the way, was prepared with someone elses water and therefore, has gone through someone else's piping system. Between your pipes and there's, things can get really interesting. In some instances, they may even have better water, but the container its stored has negated some of this fact and the magnetic quality...well, good luck. Just remember this, water will always interacts with whatever its in (or flows through) until it reaches your body to interact with you.

So you may ask yourself, "How far do I live from the source of the water I am consuming?" I say this because it is alot better to consume a little of a bad thing at a short distance than alot of a bad thing because of long distance. Also, it is better to consume alot of a good thing a short distance than a little of a good thing from a long distance. This "distance" I speak of are imparted by the pipes and the material it is made from. There's a list of piping materials to choose from. Some may even have nutritional value to them and will further detoxify water(such as some clay pipes) and others may negatively impact your health (such as PVC and asbestos). To give you an idea of how extensive this piping network is, if you have a small city of 500,000 people, the city's underground system may have over 500 miles of pipes running beneath the ground and that is where your water is coming from. Unless the pipe is self is made up of a very very toxic material. This can be a bit tricky and not something your water company will want to be involved in, but you can get an idea. They may respond by saying, the water is all mixed up. This is partly true. Just ask them where is the nearest water well to you and where's the elevation tank. If they offer you a "water tour" , tell them you are not talking about wastewater (water you've already used), you just wouldn't mind knowing how long your water has travelled. They cannot tell you all the types of pipes your water has travelled though, and simply will not know. No one will know as a matter of fact unless they dug up the entire ground from your place to the water source. They are not the ones who down laid the pipes, and even though they may have an idea of all the types of water pipes beneath the ground that's not something they may be eager to share, especially if they are aware that there are some very unwanted types, such as asbestos pipes, and they have not all been removed in some neighborhoods. What is interesting, most of us will attempt to filter the water in our kitchen sink, but we consume a huge percentage of water through bathing.

The farther away from a water well (or elevation tank) you live and receive your water from, the "older" your water is going to be and the longer it has been collecting "pipe material". There is no getting around this because people can't live equal distances from the same water source. Every time a new home is built, they simply tap into a water main and unless they have problems with pressure they can care less how long the water travels through those pipes. Starting from the water main on your street, if you were to follow it, it'll lead to a network that will take you all the way to the water source, which is the water's elevation tank in most cases, and it others, straight to the water well. The further you live away from the water well, or its elevation tank, the more likely your water can end up going through several different kinds of piping materials.

What does it matter if water sits in pipes? The pipes are clean right? It is not the "cleaniness' that is the issue, it is the pipe itself, and the chemicals that have been added to your water that were meant to kill bacteria, not interact with the pipes. When water is "treated" for your health benefit to kill bacteria or bleach your teeth with fluoride, a serious chemical reactions takes place between these chemicals and the pipe, especially fluoride as it is one of the most corrosive elements (meaning it reacts with things is comes in contact with), and that's why it kills germs very well. The chemical reactions can especially take place if the peipe is unable to build up a "scale" or protective coating, such as PVC. However, it is for this reason PVC is preferred because it is cheap, flexible, not biodegradeable so you don't have to replace it, and worthless to steal for metal thieves. Depending on the expertise and knowlege of your water company, they can make or break your health, but the real culprit is the one noone is watching..the reactions between the water and those pipes.

When you turn your water faucet on it may or may not be "fresh". What do I mean by fresh? I mean water that has been sitting in the pipes, picking up pipe material. Here is an example. Say you live 4 miles from the elevation tank but this is where your water is coming from. That is a long way to travel and that's alot of pipes that water has got to go through. If bleach has been added (such as chlorine or especially fluoride) your water can start off by leaving an elevation tank, go through some big fat PVC or cast iron pipes or some other type of pipe, then travel through say some copper pipes, go back into PVC piping, even travel through some asbestos piping (some cities haven't removed them all), go through a cast iron water main pipe on your street, then through a copper pipe to your home, then through more PVC piping in your home, through a small copper pipe to your hot water heater, or simply through more PVC piping to your cold faucet. You have alot of potential for "pipe collection". The newer the community, the more likely you're going to have alot of PVC piping beneath. There are many other types to be found under the ground that is carrying water. It can depend on if a pipe has burst and has been replaced in the past (whic nowadays they are almost always replaced with PVC), or it may depend on if a new "popular" material was being used at the time a community was being built. If copper was popular (and affordable) at the time, then it may be copper. There was a time when asbestos piping was popular and affordable, and was placed beneath the ground. Because asbestos is so outright toxic, some cities has made the efforts to replace them quickly, while other cities are still trying, one pipe at a time. At any rate, unless you live near the water well, you water may have travelled through several differnt kinds of piping by the time it makes it to you. All the while this water has travelled, it has to bypassed electrical grounding, electromagnetic radiation, there may be a hole in one of the pipe somewhere and is exposed to the ground beneath, etc. Indeed, in many cases your water has travel through 'some rough' places. There is a very elaborate network beneath your feet call "underground pipe city" and it is competing with another network beneath called "underground electric city".

Your water company will give you a water report for free, but remember, this water report is the quality of the water when it left their facility. Thus, this is only half of the story. The pipes take over after that, and there is no water report for this, this part is your responsibilty. This is important because sometimes, (as if the corrosion from pipes isn't enough) sewage can contaminate your drinking water and you can't taste it. The water company is aware of all the propblems that can arise between the water source and your home. Some residents may become aware of this issue only when something doesn't taste right. Most of the time however you can't taste it. The pipe can be in your home, or anywhere along the extensive network of pipes beneath the ground. The water company have their own list of things to test for, but an expert chemist in the materials industry would probaly know every harmful compound that should be tested for, as pipes themselves are made up of a long list of materials and metals that can affect our pineal gland, kidney, heart, liver, etc. Our water company is not a science lab and that is beyond the scope of their expertise. In small quantities, we do not feel it, but over time, and especially of us who are getting larger dosages, this pipe material begins to affect our health. The more we age, the quicker the impact it will have as we begin to lose the ability to detoxify these substance.

People use water throughout the day, and it is drawn from the elevation tank as needed and then that elevation tank fills up again during times of low usage (i.e. overnight). The fluoride and chlorine is generally added right when the water has been pumped from the water well, and before it goes to the elevation tank, and the levels of this bleach or whatever else is added, is checked daily. Sometimes accidents do happen because we are human. Can you make a perfect cup of coffee every morning for thousands of people? No.

If one neighborhood is using an excessive amount of water, the city will tap into a water main in another part of the city, thus now you are getting into water from another well, and you're drinking "mixed water". Now, how far you live away from the well you receive your water from, and the type of piping that water has to run through can have a huge impact on your health. If fact, the impact is so big, I did some research and found that it seems to be the number one factor behind people living to very ripe old ages. The evidence is astounding. For more on this, "Habits of very old people".

Wells can run pretty deep and you will begin to get into a fair amount of "magnetic water" once it goes beyond a certain depth. Yes, water starts out magnetic when it comes out of the ground in most cases. What happens to it after that depends on the pipes its running through and how long its been 'sitting'. Some people never drink magnetic water because every ounce of water that enter their house is "old water" because the water has been running around in the pipes all day, everyday. Furthermore, the water may be exposed to electromagnetic fields as it makes it to your home. For example, if you live in an apartment or townhome, you know electric wires run through those walls, think about the effect that is having on your water. The further up you live, the further up that water has to climb. Your already " piped up, and sometimes "dead water" now gets to sit in your pipes.

Some people's who are keenly aware of the importance of the nourishment of water, live on well water, but then somehow their wells get contaminated. You may not know of the contamination unless it is blatantly obvious. I was told about one case of well contaminations when suddenly many of the babies in the area developed blue baby syndrome. Someone had contaminated the ground with nitrates and the nitrates eventually made it into the groundwater, which is where that hole for the water well is pumping from. Situations like this is unfortunate, because many times these people may have been living quite healthy for many years then someone contaminated their well and they had to "tap" into the cities water. When these people with contaminated wells "tap into the city water guess what? They are going to tap into the nearest pipe that has water in it, which may only be a few hundred feet away. The problem is however, the water may have come from somewhere closer to the city and now there water is travelling a much longer distance.

The design of the water system for a city can get really interesting. Some times you'll find a well that pumps water into and elevation tank just a block away. Other times you'll find the well in one spot and the elevation tank clear across town. It depends on whether or not its "feasible", i.e its visiblity and the cost is a factor. How would you like to see your elevation tank right in the middle of downtown? If you are lucky, your water travels a very short distance before it gets to you. Some people stay very close to the water well, and the pipes was laid down when the city was still small, and their water never makes it to the elevation tank, and they get fresh well water from the deep down under day in and day out.

What about the rain? Well, when it rains, a part of the rainwater (maybe 25% of it) ends up in the ground and gets "recharged". The rainwater flows through rocks and beds, purifying itself as it goes through and picking up magnetic qualities. The deeper it travels to the center of the Earth, the more magnetic it will be. It can go through several types of rocks, different beds in the ground, pass over fossils of animals that have died years and years ago, depositing contaminants along the way and picking up new material. Unfortunately, some of this new material can very well be some chemical that was dumped on the ground in such high amounts and of such a quality, it can't be purified. If you are on surface water, this does not apply to you. It is no telling what is in surface water, it is more likely to have a higher amount of bacteria, viruses, and even human feces, as surface water may come from lakes, rivers, and streams. It has not gone through the natural purification and recharge process that occurs with groundwater. The purification is done entirely by your local water company, and we're talking about some "serious" processing that has to be done to make surface water "drinkable".

You can help keep your groundwater of better quality by thinking about what you pour down the drain, and toss on the streets. Whatever the ground is contaminated with, a part of it will eventually make its way into your groundwater. Also, many of us do not think about it, but many of the foods that have already been prepared for you in some way in the grocery store-it took water from someone else's piping system to prepare them. We generally read the ingredients, which are the only things the maker of these products knowingly put in it and even they generally don't know about the water in which they are using to prepare it, no more than you know about all the pipes your own water has travelled through. The water used to prepare these products however will either add or subtract from your health. Curiously enough, many old people cook their own food.

Of course, all of ther U.S., there are issues of water shortages due to droughts, so every effort the water companies make, is to try to conserve water. Some people ask the question "The Earth is mostly water, how can there be a water shortage?" Well, the Earth is mostly saltwater. Humans have to drink freshwater, like some fish have to live in freshwater. Saltwater is unfit for human consumption, and the cost of to try to purify the water would be unaffordable.
